Quick Post: Squash Trouble

I had a squash plant fail.
It seemed to melt at the soil line over night. So far, the other one is good. I was thinking "Vine Borer Moth"? But, I had wrapped the stems with tin foil to prevent them. (maybe I did it wrong)
Anyway, that was a bummer, but we're getting more tomatoes.
The happy squash

  1. Sorry to hear about your squash troubles, wish I could help but I only have experience with eating them, yet to try my hand at growing them! Thanks for stopping by my blog last week, I've been on Vaca and only now getting around to thanking everyone. The Oregon Coast was amazing!! Really looking forward to following your blog, love your writing style...cheers Julia

  2. Hi Raechill,
I always get the vine borers when I grow squash, but usually they die after they've produced a few squash. I forget to put foil over the stem until too late. Still, I try and try again. I have some coming up. I should go ahead and put foil on the stems now.

I'm glad your other plants area doing well.
